Departure will be from the Novotel Wilson hotel, it will be a walking tour, conducted at a leisurely pace. Still, we recommend that you wear comfortable walking shoes as some of the streets will be cobbled or paved and a little uneven. Your schedule will be indicated on your name badge.

Participants will be divided into small groups, each led by an English or French speaking guide.

The guides will take us through the many sights of the old town, centred on the Place du Capitole.  We will have a close look at the Basilique Saint-Sernin, the Couvent des Jacobins, the old mansion houses (some dating back to the Middle Ages), the Canal du Midi, and the Garonne River banks, among others.

Around noon we will stop for a relaxed lunch at restaurant Sixty-Two, close to Place Saint-Sernin.

In the afternoon we will pass by the Maison de la Violette, a river barge converted into a tea house and located on the Canal du Midi.  We will be served refreshments, and shopping will be available for those inclined in buying a few souvenirs.  See https://www.lamaisondelaviolette.com/

The tour will conclude around 17:00.
