The visits to Albi and Carcassonne are all-day activities. Therefore, they will be run on Days 2 and 3 so that participants who want to visit both cities can do that. For both visits, groups will depart from the Novotel Place Wilson hotel to board buses from a parking lot nearby. Your schedule will be indicated on your name badge.

In Albi, we will visit the Cité Episcopale in the morning.  A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2010, this large complex includes the Cathedrale Sainte-Cécile, the Saint-Salvi collegiate church and cloister, the bishop’s palace and many medieval houses, all beautifully preserved.

Lunch will be at the gastronomic Alchimy restaurant, located in the centre of the old city.

After lunch, we will visit the Musée Toulouse-Lautrec.  Some of our members will know the famous painter and native of Albi, who lived in the late 19th century.  For those who don’t, this will be an excellent opportunity to discover the artist and his work!  The museum is set in the Palais de la Berbie, the bishop’s palace mentioned above, itself a work of art.

Return buses will leave the site at 16:00 to arrive at the Novotel Wilson hotel around 17:30.
